RAJWA

About RAJWA

The Royal Association of Justices of Western Australia — serving the community since 1932.

Our Mission

RAJWA exists to support, educate, and connect Justices of the Peace across Western Australia. We advocate for the ongoing relevance of the JP role in the community, provide professional development opportunities, and ensure members have access to the resources and guidance they need to serve the public with confidence and integrity.

Our History

Founded in 1932, RAJWA has grown from a small network of WA justices into a respected professional association representing hundreds of members across the state. Over nine decades we have worked closely with the Department of Justice, legal bodies, and community organisations to uphold the standards and standing of the JP role.

Our Values

Community

We exist to serve the people of Western Australia. Every decision we make is guided by the needs of the communities our members work within.

Excellence

We hold ourselves to the highest professional standards, supporting members to perform their duties with skill, fairness, and impartiality.

Service

Volunteering as a JP is an act of public service. We honour that commitment and make sure members feel valued and well-equipped.
